I can vividly remember that during our secondary school days, the late Mr. Afuye Olubunmi never believed in impossibility. He believed that with hard work and dedication, the impossible would be made possible.

In Army Comprehensive High School, Akure, when you went to Afuye with your challenges, you would leave with solutions because he was always ready to help.

As a security expert, what advice can you give to the Government of Ondo State on the security of life and property?

Honorable Gbenga Olotu replied as follows:

As a security expert, you must understand that our security personnel are not magicians.

With the advent of information and communication technology in the cyber world, the identification, arrest, and prosecution of suspects have been simplified.

Listen and listen carefully, you don’t expect me to disclose security information to a journalist. It is unethical.

My recommendation is that the chief security officer of Ondo State, I mean, Mr. Governor, should do the needful by adopting digital security systems.

Our security personnel must be trained and re-trained in the use of digital security tools to handle security challenges.

Your questions are too much; I will not fail to express my condolences to the wife and children of the late Mr. Afuye Olubunmi.

May Almighty God give them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss of late Mr. Afuye Olubunmi and protect them.
