3.0 Brief History Of Army Comprehensive High School, Akure

Army Comprehensive High School, Akure, was established on the 25th day of October, 1980, within the Army Barracks, Headquarters 32 Artillery Brigade, Owena Cantonment in Akure, Ondo State.

The school was founded with the vision of providing quality education to both the children of military personnel residing in the barracks and students from the surrounding Akure town.

 

The school quickly became a symbol of discipline and academic excellence, blending military discipline with conventional education.

 

The pioneer principal, Pa Jolade, played a crucial role in imposing standard educational qualities on the students of the school.

Apart from him, the school saw the reign of a celebrated and well-respectedprincipal, Bashun Seined Arogbofa, under whose tenure the school continued to grow in both academic and extracurricular achievements.

 

In recent times, some alumni members embraced the appointment of the new principal of Army Comprehensive High School, Akure, Hon. Mrs. Ola-Obaado Dorothy Simbo.
