The late King Rev. Dr. Clement John Adiamiko Uwemedimo wasn’t just an agronomist; he was a visionary.

Back in the day, he invented RP 13522, an anti-corrosion paint specifically designedfor oil and gas pipelines.

It was a groundbreaking solution, one that had the potential to save millions of dollars in maintenance costs for oil companies.

But here’s where things get even more interesting: Dr. Uwemedimo didn’t stop at invention.

He registered his creation under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) with WIPO, securing global protection for his intellectual property (PCT/GB2010/000074).

This meant that Comandclem Nigeria Limited could demand royalties from any company using the patented technology in PCT member countries, far beyond Nigeria’s borders.
